TaKeTiNa Institute for Rhythm Education and Research

The Institute was founded by Reinhard and Cornelia Flatischler to further work in music, teaching, therapy and research.

The TaKeTiNa Institut Purkersdorf (near Vienna) is above all home to research and music projects as well as a site for holding intensive courses. It also functions as a meeting place for musicians, scientists, doctors and other creative persons who are interested in combining their competencies, exchanging their knowledge and in further developing a vision for the use of rhythm in teaching, therapy and medicine. The Institut Purkersdorf is situated in a parklike setting and has a group room, sound studio and an unequalled collection of gongs, drums and percussion instruments from throughout the world.

The institute's second home is in the ZIST seminar center in Penzberg (Upper Bavaria, south of Munich). All TaKeTiNa training courses, drum trainings and supervisions are held there.

The TaKeTiNa Institut für Rhythmusforschung und Rhythmuspädagogik is certified in Bavaria as an educational institution.
